    You can't have “instrumental songs” - that's a contradiction, they're either songs or instrumentals 😳

    My favourite instrumentals from that time would be Sleepwalk, Walk Don't Run, Telstar. Also lots of tunes by Russ Conway, and The Shadows.

    It's more late 60s, but "Flying" by the Beatles is short but great.

    Walk Don't Run, Tequila, Rebel Rouser, Rumble (the song Pete Townsend says is what made him want to pick up a guitar), Sleep Walk, Telstar, The Lonely Bull.
