Can I wear my marines dress blues for my brothers first salute?

I was discharged honorably but my brother is getting commissioned in a few months and ask me to be his first salute, is it still okay to wear it for the occasion.

If you were a marine you would not need to ask TROLL!

I would say that is considered an award ceremony: After serving their country honorably in the Marine Corps, retirees and veterans are allowed to wear the uniform, but under certain conditions. These conditions are typically special events such as national holidays that honor our military (Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, even July the 4th) as well as weddings, funerals, memorial services, and award ceremonies.

Sure thing. As long as you're not using the uniform to defraud somebody, you're good.

I Think so. Ask another fellow Marine to be sure
