numerator is for number of strands and denominator is for size x 10⁻⁴ inch

so 10/76 = 10 strands, with each strand of size 0.0076 inch

Numerator is number of strands, 7, 10, 19, 26, 41, 65 are common strand counts.

Denominator is wire gauge of each strand.

So 19/34 is 19 strands of #34 wire.
