The Federal Government can, in due course of the collection of defaulted student loans, garnish your wages, confiscate your federal tax returns. YOU can set up automatic payments on student loans that are deducted from your bank account, but usually it's just the IRS that can grab your bank account with no prior notice.

Yes. You can set up automatic payments from any bank account. If you're referring to their taking money from you involuntarily, then yes, they can do that, too---but only if your loans have been in default for awhile and they have a judgment against you.

    No. You should sue them.

You can set up auto-payment, but the government can't garnish wages or tax returns without a court order.
