How can I successfully do a back tuck ?

For some reason I get the correct technique on jumping up and not throwing my head backward. The problem is it’s a bad habit for me to jump back to early and I keep landing painfully and almost hitting my head. How can I stop thrusting myself backward? It’s a really bad habit that’s hard for me to break

    You would need to become flexible.
