True/false: it’s dangerous to have a baby at age 40 and older ?

    Fâlśė,

    It is never dangerous to have a baby but

    womn who get prgnant in their 4/5O's will

    have a much hardr time gtting & staying

    prėgnant.

      My grandmother was 46 when she got pregnant with her last child. She had no trouble getting pregnant and she had no trouble staying pregnant. I doubt that she was trying to get pregnant, but it happened.

    True - there ARE higher risks for health issues to mother at baby for older women.

    IT DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL HAPPEN.

    An older woman CAN have a healthy pregnancy AND a healthy baby.  There is just a higher RISK that something could go wrong compared to a woman under the age of 35.

    It's true, it is more risky to have a baby when you are 40+. The chances of serious complications and down syndrome are higher. If you are a healthy weight and have a healthy diet and normal blood pressure the chances of complications are lower.

    My gut says true but I know of women who had babies at the age of 50
