Can I "co-feed" with my budgie's chicks?

My budgie chicks are a few days old, and I noticed one chick isn't being fed much by the mother (crop is smaller). Can I hand feed it occasionally and let the mother do the rest? Or will it complicate things?

YES, you can hand feed it the way you're saying, shouldn't be a problem.

If the chicks will take hand feeding yes, they have their dietary needs and not met, can starve to death.

Sometimes, there are transparent reasons a mama may starve or even kill offspring, takes a little know how to spot and deal with that.
