The word 'homosexual' is a comparatively newly coined English word. No Bible translations in English had that word until after the end of the 19th century. The ancient original languages of the Bible spoke of "men who lie with men" [as in lying down in bed]. For example, we get the English translation of ancient Hebrew in Leviticus 18:22-24 as:
"Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable. Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion. Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled." It's totally clear, without ever using the word 'homosexual'.
Same with the koine Greek language of the New Testament. It is translated as, "In the same way [as women lusting after women] the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men..." (Romans 1:26-27) There is no need to use the modern word 'homosexuals'. Besides, the way the Bible describes such sexual acts, it is not just condemning homosexuality. It has a wider-ranging remit than that. It would include sexual acts against children too. Yet see how people try to manipulate words to mean limited things they want them to mean!
And that word has not been substituted with "boy molesters" - yet. If ever that happens, the words of the ancient scriptures will be being manipulated to conform to how modern people think, but the original words cover all of that without any need to categorize particular types of sexual proclivities.
