I’m going to South Korea next week and have to take a few of my heart medication with me will I have any trouble passing immigration?

Immigration is only interested in your passport. It's customs that is concerned about drugs you might be smuggling in to sell. They usually don't check anyone's bags unless they have reason to be suspicious. Take just what you need, in the prescription bottle with your name on it.

  • Keep it in the packaging it came in, with the information sheet.  If it's a common drug, you'll have no problems.  If it's something unusual, take a letter from your doctor.
