For chips, crisps, tortillas and etc, press them against the roof of your mouth using your tongue. The softness of the tongue will help to suppress the crunch noise. Then eat normally. Those foods shapes are specially engineered to do the crunch sound, so that's a quiet way to get rid of the shape first, then eating.

Who cares, just eat it loud and proud. Bring along a whole lettuce to snack on as well, it goes well with a bit of whipped cream squeezed on top

Quakers and Wotsits are the only ones you can eat quietly, as they will melt in your month.

They are called crisps, not chips.

Also while on subject they are biscuits not cookies

    • In America, we have LAY's POTATO CHIPS.  In Britain, I think they are called Crisps.

put a chip on your tongue, and smush the chip between your tongue and the roof of your mouth, suck on the chip bits for a little while, then swallow
