I have used Megabus several times. I find their bus stops are in better areas.

I go from Chicago through Indy to Columbus Ohio. Never had any problems at all. Most people sleep, read or are on their computers.

Well you do have to be careful that the saddle doesn't slip.

Not usually, but if you want to avoid any incidents, sit near the driver. The trash tend to gravitate towards the back where they can get away with shenanigans more easily.

No. You’ll be surrounded by a bunch of people. Everyone on the bus does everything as a group. The only time you’re not part of a group is when you reach your final destination. If the driver stops at a truck stop in the middle of the night, you don’t have to worry about getting killed or robbed because there’s just so many people.

Depending how far you’re going, I wouldn’t recommend taking greyhound if the trip is several days long. It’s just a waste of time because there’s nothing to do. Sleep or watch the road.

Been on it twice: once as a kid, and once as an adolescenct. What I have experienced is a shooting at one of the bus terminals, a guy trying to pick a fight, cockroaches, and a dude trying to touch my then 13 y/o sister.

All and all, it wasn't as bad as you usually hear.

Not really. Just boring and smelly.

I would never. I can only imagine the lice and ticks on the seats.
