Since when is having sex "a contribution to society"? Issac Newton was an ugly middle-aged virgin. Instead of wasting his time whining about not getting laid, he invented modern physics.

Who says he's not contributing to society? A person can contribute to society without producing offspring.

And considering the fact that our population is growing at an alarming rate...it could be argued that people breeding would be increasing the burden on society.
