How cold were Boston winters during the Little Ice Age (1600-1850)?

Update:

I meant like, what was the average January and February low.

    its a question nobody can answer ..no one kept weather records until the mid 1800`s

    newborns and elderly have thinner skin and less subcutaneous fat so they tend to get cold easier
