The only thing that sets USA apart is that its currency is used as international/oil-currency AND IT GETS IN DEBT DEEPER AND FASTER THAN ANYBODY ELSE

Who said that? In economics, every country has to find its locomotive for the economy. You may mean that the politicians in some countries have given their country management to the guys in the USA? yEh, nice to hear. It happens due to the dollarization. And some economists have appealed that the US should open the border to trade freely to all countries in the world. But the US is now in structural deficits due to overconsumption. That is why it needs to be great again. This time on the contrary, not so nice to foreigners.

No, USA may be a technological locomotive (next to Japan), but not economical. In fact, we are still the top country on world record that has went to an economic depression and recession more than 5 times in only half a century, unresolved price increases on progressive and sales tax, and much more. We've been declining and improving randomly. In order for a country to be economically striving, their societies and government cannot be going through drastic changes to accommodate for a failed law or make up to a law. Our economy is good enough, but it still sucks lol.

    Hope I Helped ^_^

It used to be.  'Locomotive' is a good word for it, since our economic horsepower pulled much of the rest of the world behind us.  But we are losing our leadership in the world, and our 'empire'.  Other nations, even our allies, are beginning to see us as an economic bully and generally a rogue state.
