When you prepare salad for yourself, do you rip your greens (lettuce, spinach, etc…), or do you cut them?

If I'm going to eat it right away I use a knife. But if I'm
a few days worth at a time I rip it.

Rip-tear by hand. Cutting causes browning.

I usually tear the leaves, I heard one time that if you 'cut' them they dont last as long.

I rip them. I cut everything else that needs to be made smaller - tomatoes, onion, cheese, eggs etc.

I like baby and mixed greens so just cheat and buy already made bags.
But in the rare event I just use a head of lettuce I'm a ripper.

Definitely rip. Cutting pieces off a head of lettuce will cause the places where you cut to turn brown prematurely.
