What's going to happen in Hong Kong?

It seems the protests and police reactions have reached boiling point with live ammo being used. Is this all going to end badly?

Time can calm down the protests, then they will imigrate to other countries, lose confidence for the governor....but afterwards the media will be contralled more strickly, the citizens will be monitored just as in the mainland....Noone knows when people will remind these protests and their behairs their struggle their dreams .....

Tourism constitute 1/3 of Hong Kong's economy and as the result, many businesses are closing and unemployment has been increasing rapidly. In a long term effect, this will also make less foreigners wanting to visit Hong Kong as they fear about their safety.

Many foreign investors are also taking their investment away and many will not invest there anymore because they fear another protest will happen. Numerous public facilities have been destroyed and vandalized, which means the government will have to pay a lot to compensate the damages. Many economy activities have been paralyzed because the public transports and roads are blocked by the protesters.

These protesters are destroying their own state and in a long term effect, they will have to face the consequence.

Protests will become more violent and the Chinese army will eventually step in and become hard lined with the protesters. The Hong Kongers will not return to the freedom they once had and anyone who wont bow to the Chinese will have to move out of Hong Kong, or reform and live with the conditions or else face the wrath of the Chinese government.

It's interesting to see that some people have an optimistic viewpoint while others are pessimistic about the outcome.

I'd imagine that China will very soon step in and crack down on it all. That'll be the end of freedom on Hong Kong.

The protest will die down eventually and things will be back to normal

Live ammo usually isn't a good sign.
