Do you think the famer's almanac is correct of predicting the weather?

    No.

It's just a generalized information, based on data collected t over the past year, for that area. Not using current or updated information.

In other words, this is about climate not weather.

The Farmers Almanac is only good for predicting generalities (summer-hot/winter-cold/rain-wet). Besides historical data for the last day of frost in an area and phases of the moon it is not really good for much more than a conversation piece on your coffee table.

The phrase "famer's (sic) almanac' and the word 'correct' about predicting the weather are seldom if ever found in the same sentence.

What they do is figure the average for each particular date. That usually keeps them in the right ballpark.

I just did. Remember, we are not talking about matching the accuracy of the forecast on your local news. Or the precision.

    Only some of the time.

The rest of the time I just wait for the first snow to fall

and that's the signal that summer is over.
