Is it bad to scratch urban paintings(example animal arts under the bridge)? (originally there are lots of graffiti there).?

Me and my friend just hanging around, he accidentally claw the paintings(i think the fox) under the bridge next to my apartment. is there fined on that?

It’s not illegal unless the artwork was commissioned by the city or the people that owns the property.

Just be glad he didn’t spray paint over the artwork. That can get him killed because it’s an act of war to spray your work over another artist’s work.

Defacing graffiti isn't a crime as far as I know.  Graffiti itself is defacement of public property and illegal in most places.  I like some of it but a lot of it is an eyesore.  It's hard to know where to draw the line (pardon the pun).
