It's a gamble, not an investment. If you have $10,000, you have a greater chance of a solid return on investment by putting $3k to $5k in 3 or 2 different good no-load growth funds.
At just a 6% growth rate, which underperforms the historic market (6.9% annually between 1926 and 2016, which takes in ALL of the major declines), your $10,000 would be $20,000 in 12 years. I don't see bitcoin ever getting to $20k. I think it has a long way to fall. It did get to $18k, but six months ago it was almost down to $3k. You want that kind of volatility and risk?
