Where were those submissive men back when female didn't even had the right to own a house?

Lots of submissive men today, just wondering when a female couldn't even own a house and was considered 2nd class citizen, where were they?

They certainly existed, dear. But we're not going to learn a lot about men who pretty much did nothing with their lives, because they weren't assertive and powerful, now are we? The history books don't discuss such people.

They were living in pay-per-day hotels, barely able to support themselves.

There was a time when gender roles in society were clearly defined and men were expected to be manly not submissive.

Men seem more submissive based on their confusion w role in today’s society. Many fear conflict w interaction that was considered normal (whether it was appropriate or not), and are reluctant to behave in ways that may be questioned or even punishable. Females too, experienced normalized oppression back then, and obviously are speaking up.

I am thinking they were the one's most vocal about keeping "women in the kitchen" back then.

They're the same men. They've just learned topping from the bottom has its perks.
