Doubtful puppy is carrying it but is asymptomatic. If your dog DID NOT get its yearly parvo/distemper vaccinations, then it could have picked up the virus ANYWHERE. - and it has a *10-14 day* window of incubation. So the timing suggests YOUR ADULT dog got sick (infected) BEFORE the puppy arrived. This question is better asked of your vet, however.
That means, your puppy IS NOT SAFE, even if it got its 1st vaccinations, if has been brought to an infected home. The shots have NO effect for 2 weeks & unfortunately by taking in, a less than 7 week old puppy ANY VACCINE GIVE at this of LESS THAN the magic 7 weeks, was very likely was FIGHTING with leftover antibodies from his/her mom, still active in the puppy's body and was INEFFECTIVE at ANY protection.
The puppy may be fine now, but has a VERY HIGH RISK of becoming sick and if so, 80% of unvaccinated or INCOMPLETELY vaccinated puppies DIE from Parvo. The hospitalization (s) will cost you several THOUSAND dollars.
