    You don't think the police will put some effort into finding the victim?

    Unfortunately, with a lot of laws, you can't get around the need for a victim in order to convict someone of a crime.

    Um, duh! Nobody to press charges or be a “victim”. Nothing happens.

      Right , but if they said your on camera shooting at a car with the car driving off but they are unable to identify the person in the car so they have no victim , that means that cant convict you of second degree murder it would have to be a leaser offense right ?

    No, as YOU don't convict them, a jury does.
