I don't understand why some people still use incandescent lights ,for saving electricity ?

LED lights use 20% less energy compared with other types of bulb ,lights emitted by incandescent lightbulb is dim for some people ,that's explain why some countries outlaw the use of incandescent light

incandescents are history.  They require too much electricity which is currently produced primarily with fossil fuels.

He certainly does grate, as for the EU banning halogen bulbs, you seem a bit out of date this happened 1 Sep 2018.

They have been replaced by LED’s that use 1/5 the power and last much longer as for the return of the incandescent, that’s about as likely as the the return of the gas lamp.

An LED bulb also won't burn down your house if your cat knocks it over.

Wow, that was just about the worst-written "news" article I've ever read.

Many of the comments were even worse.

It is not coming back, most switched from incandescent to CFL's a longtime ago. Then had to switch from the CFL's to leds becouse CFL's sucked. The switching to leds in many cases meant switching fixtures. So there is no going back in many cases.
