Trump: "We can't have our cities going to h3ll." His solution? Blame the Democrats because he's not president* when it comes to cities?

So what's the Trump/Republicans' solution for cleaning up U.S. cities?

Its ironic that he has made American cities his enemy..even though 85% of the wealth of the nation he rules is generated there.

Ironic that the city they hate the most, San Francisco, and its Bay Area Region, has a larger economy, a higher GDP, than 45 entire states. That, if it was a nation, would rank 19th in the world for wealth, and in the state of CA, which, if it were a nation, would be the 5th richest in the world. So Trump attacks the areas that provide him with the biggest tax revenue that make his nation so strong.

Just as an example, the GDP of the SF Bay Area is 700 billion plus

GDP of the entire state of Alabama - 197 billion

Were it a country, the Bay Area’s economy would be larger than Saudi Arabia’s, getting rich from its residents’ minds rather than minerals pumped from the ground, according to a new report.

The Bay Area’s annual growth rate of 4.3 percent over the past three years was nearly double that of the U.S. as a whole, bringing the region’s gross domestic product to $748 billion, behind only 18 countries,

US cities come under states issues not federal issues. Feds pump lots of money into states coffers to help cities. States use those federal dollars where they see fit.

It is not a Federal responsibility to govern a city. If the state governments want to allow cities to call the NRA a terrorist organization and to welcome illegal immigrants that is their problem. Just observe that every major city is overwhelmingly Democrat.

@David, if they're not his doing, what part of it is his business? He shoots off his mouth, he owns the problem.

  • He wants to play the president role when it's convenient....when we point out the county is failing under his regime he suddenly acts like he has no blame.

Welcome to a failing America under Donald J. Trump, Puppet of the World.

The solution is to elect Republican councils and mayors so the 100 year hell that Democrats have put these cities through comes to an end.

Liberals will always be corrupt spend federal dollars on corruption and waste. They can never be trusted with anything given by the federal government to help their cities.

Liberals made the problems. Liberals must take responsibility and fix these problems themselves.

the mayors and governors are responsible for cities and should have them cleaned that isn't Trump's responsibility.

just the other day, he mentioned opening up vacant federal buildings and properties to act as homeless shelters to provide healthcare and placement services...

the Los Angeles Times reported it as "Trump looking to tear down tent cities and purge skid row..."

    • James2 months agoReport

Actually, that was the City of Los Angeles that proposed that. Not Trump. He's done nothing to help our homeless except blame Democrats.

The solution is a healthy and robust job market. When a person can walk into a place and land a job on the spot, people become more satisfied with life and less prone to being dirtbags

So you're admitting that when it comes to job creation and unemployment, Trump has been an abject failure.

He doesn't lift a finger to help all Americans. Only offer insults about where the place is that's sooooo bad. But that's the motto of the GOP towards those in need even after working 3 jobs sometime.

Deporting the approx. 30 Million illegal aliens residing in the US would free up massive amounts of low income housing the American homeless could use .

I thought you right-wing Trump supporters have told us that all professors are brainwashed leftists who can't be trusted and lie to get federal money? So which is it? Are professors now suddenly credible?
