If you suspect anyone involved in puppy farms, you must make a report immediately to the R.S.P.C.A.

    First THINK:

What difference does it make whether they are LEGAL or ILLEGAL❓

I don't think it makes ANY difference!

    As for a method:

🔸 Try persuading your politicians to legislate that none of the media is allowed to accept "Puppy for sale" ads.

🔹 Or that none of the media is allowed to accept more than 2 such ads from any advertiser within a 12-month period - thus putting pressure on the media to check on whether advertisers are complying with the law.

That won't FORCE the puppy-millers out of business, but it WILL force them to slow their advertising and keep track of WHICH newspaper or radio station or Internet web-site they have already used twice this year.

💥 And also work out a FINE or other PENALTY that will need to be in the legislation, in order to HURT each puppy-miller who tries to ignore the new legislation.

I suspect that, even with lots vigilantes keeping an eye on puppy-millers and reporting the to the Dog Control Officer and the police when one tries to get around what the legislation states, it will take 20 years before the last puppy-miller gives up.

You would first have to make them illegal.

Puppy farms are NOT illegal. Many are even USDA licensed and inspected

You need to report them to a shelter. That's all you can do now, you don't always need evidence either as they will check it out and immediately see what they're doing. Trying to educate each generation will be tough but has definitely improved the situation

Puppy Mills & BYBers are both disgusting. I would love to find a way to shut both down & never be allowed again.

Lots & lots & lots of puppies are born each breeding season & many puppies die cause they were turned over to the pound, shelter or rescue & euthanized to create more space for the dogs coming in. They cannot euthanize fast enough to keep up with in the influx of mutts.

It's all about affordability. Many breeders charge outlandish prices. Have you seen the going rate for French Bulldogs? Until prices drop significantly, BYBs will always be around. One person suggested going after demand, which is foolish. Prohibition fails, be it guns, drugs, prostitution, etc. You can't rid demand.

Report them to the proper authorities.

Buy dogs from a reputable breeder. If you stop buying their dogs, they’ll stop breeding them.
