not likely, at federal minimum wage, if you get paid for 40 hours per week including sick/vacation time, it comes out to 1256/month. Gainful employment is 1220/month
even if you make just under than, it will likely be seen as able to be gainfully employed and therefore not eligible.
If you have the physical and mental ability to work as a waitress even near full time, you clearly do not qualify for disability.
that is a physically and mentally demanding job.
to qualify for disability in the US< you must be unable to do ANY gainful employment and earn 1220/month or more.
even if you only get paid for 37.5 hours per week, that comes out to 1178/month....so close to 1220, it will likely disqualify you..
and don't think about not reporting tips...SSA is on to that scam....
it is a safe assumption that even if your base is minimum wage, you will sometimes get more than that....
