    two more than the number = ( x + 2 )

    product of the number and ⅞ = ⅞x

    if you add 15 to ( x + 2 ) the result will ⅞x

    ( x + 2 ) + 15 = ⅞x

    8x + 16 + 120 = 7x

    x = -136

    Let the number be 'n'

    Hence n + 2 = 15 + (7n/8)

    n - 13 = 7n/ 8

    8n - 104 = 7n

    n = 104
