Yes, most definitely, but it depends on what parts of space you mean. Right now we're regularly travelling up to low-Earth orbit (LEO), at least as far as satellites go, if not so much for people. But there's not a lot of reason for people to go up to LEO. The next stage of human travel requirements might involve going to places like the Moon or Mars, i.e. the Inner Solar System (ISS). Again, it might start out with sending satellites there first, but there are actually places to land here, so it may also involve human travel to these places. Eventually, we may be able to conquer the entire solar system. That'll likely take us to the next 500 years. Going interstellar would likely not happen for at least another 1000 years.
