Many states require child support to be paid via payroll deductions.
If he gets paid weekly, then you will receive funds weekly.
Remember the money can stop at any time:
- if you end up earning more than he does, his amount will be reduced or stopped
- if the child ends up living with him the majority of the time, you may be required to pay support.
- if his wages decrease, then his support will also decrease (just like if his wages increase, his support my increase)
- if he changes jobs and gets paid twice a month or monthly, then you would also get paid on this new schedule.
