How can one fill a bathtub more quietly?

I'm worried I'll wake up my family in the bedroom next to the bathroom. How can I fill the bathtub more quietly?

Update:

@Thanks Why is that?

    Use the shower to fill the tub. It will take longer so plan ahead of time and use hotter water to compensate for it cooling off more. And direct the water against the wall so it doesn't make as much noise.

    Put a nylon stocking over the spicket all the way to the bottom of the tub it will cushion the output of the water making it quite a bit quieter

    Reschedule the bath. You might try what we did and build an outside facility and stock it with whatever appliances and fixtures you prefer. If you think about it, bathing really doesn't belong in the house.
