Employers don’t want to hire a robot reciting a memorized script. But you also need to be an informed, positive, professional version of yourself.

Similarly, if you are extremely confident in your superior knowledge of everything, it’s possible to come across as too show-off or arrogant about it at the interview.

So be yourself, but be cool. Seeing if you can’t do that is what job interviews are really for.

People do not go to interviews. they just sit at home until a job opens up and they are magically transported to the job and they start working..and if they do not do well they are magically transported home until another job happens.

Or maybe it is to GET A JOB?????!!!!

Because it's often part of the process of getting hired. Without an interview, you can't get the job. But these days, Skype interviews are common.
