Electric flux question?

Consider the uniform electric field E = (4.0j + 3.0k) x 10^3 N/C. What is its electric flux through a circular area of radius 2.0m that lies in the xy-plane?

    If the circular area lies in the xy-plane, only the z (or k) component will be normal to the circular area's surface. So, since flux = E (dot product) A, then flux = 10^3 N/C (4.0 j (dot) k + 3.0 k (dot) k) (pi * R^2).

    j (dot) k = 0, and k (dot) k = 1, so flux = 10^3 N/C * 3 * pi * (2)^2
