Why is vaping getting shut down when the issue isn't with vaping but with black market THC e-liquid?
Vapers have been trying to get the FDA to regulate e-liquid for almost 2 decades now, we wanted the FDA to assure the quality of the e-liquid that was being manufactured. They have refused to do so, it is believed that this is because of big tobacco.
Because the FDA has refused to regulate e-liquid most manufacturers are using "FDA approved ingredients" and "FDA approved facilities" in order to provide some sort of regulation on the industry, for the most part this has been self imposed.
These "vape deaths" are all people who bought "black market" e-liquid pods (most vapes don't even use pods), also the e-liquid they where using is THC e-liquid, not nicotine e-liquid.
The problem seems to be with an oil used in these "black market e-liquid pods, an oil that is not approved for consumption by the FDA. Yet the government wants to shut down vaping and is saying things like "we don't know what the problem is, but it could be nicotine", When nicotine has no ill effects on anyone who has completed the maturing process. it looks like big tobacco is at it again
This would be like someone selling Whiskey on the streets laced with bleach and the government making Jack Daniels shut down.
Why won't the FDA finally come in and regulate e-liquid instead of shutting down vaping all together? Could it be the influence of big tobacco?

Because it's a good distraction from real issues and the number of people it impacts won't really hurt Trump's numbers any. Also when you hear Trump talk about it you KNOW he's just repeating talking points he heard someone else say (likely from the Tobacco lobby)

The issue is that you're a drug addict who is trying to justify his addiction while ignoring the mountains of science that show nicotine is massively bad for you and your body.
The problem isn't blowing PEG around and being dumb enough to claim "that's just H2O", the problem is that you suspend drugs in that mixture that are toxic and have been known to be toxic for decades.
Nicotine enters the body and brain very quickly and causes the body to release adrenaline. Adrenaline constricts the blood vessels, speeds up the heart rate and raises blood pressure. Nicotine gum exposes the body to much lower levels of nicotine than cigarettes; however, the National Institutes of Health suggests that after three months of use, it is important to try to slowly discontinue using nicotine gum. Those with known heart conditions should not use nicotine gum unless under a doctor's supervision. For those without heart disease, long-term use of nicotine gum may contribute to arrhythmias, or irregular heart rhythms, which can lead to a heart attack.
NICOTINE, it's safe to chew bubblegum, but NICOTINE has had many many studies done on it...
Drug addicts will do anything to justify their addiction, you're just a drug addict... and we need to get rid of all these drug addicts in society who want others to tolerate them. Alcoholics are ALSO drug addicts, I play no favors. But going around saying "it's safer than smoking" ignores that many of the risks of smoking come from the fact that you're a drug addict NOT from the smoke inhalation itself or the carcinogens from chewing the tobacco, but that you're addicted to constantly doing something that his harmful to your body.

Seeing older children and adults blowing smoke out of their mouth. Invites children to smoke. Whether it’s tobacco or vape.

Sounds like soy boy Trump is trying to score some points off a tragedy and it's working. Don Lemon is singing his praise.

Big Tobacco wants kids to start smoking cigarettes. The people using cigarette taxes as personal slush funds won't mind.
