Eastwards from Greenwich (a suburb of London, UK) which holds the generally recognised zero meridian, are Europe, Asia, Australasia and Oceania. Africa is generally southwards of Europe and Asia, but is mostly eastwards of Greenwich. Only the Americas are westwards of Greenwich. Antarctica is southwards of all the other continents.
