I guess there’s a mistake in Q2.

“What is the volume VG of the Gaussian sphere (radius R) … “

should be:

“What is the volume VG of the Gaussian sphere (radius r) … “.

So the answer to Q2 is ⁴/₃πr³.

The volume of any ball (sphere) of radius R is ⁴/₃πR³.
