Cupped tires are a symptom of bad alignment. That's what I've always heard. And that's what I've always seen.

Could be out of alignment. Has the car had any accident history in the past? or did you buy it new? If you bought it new then there must be a manufacture defect.

Cupping of the tires normally indicates that the struts/shocks are bad. Take it back to the dealer and ask them to replace the struts.

Your Escape is still under warranty, so have it inspected by a dealer. Keep in mind that tires NEVER live up to their full warranty. If you've got a set with a 60K guarantee, expect to replace them at about 50K.

More than likely your struts need replacing.
