Two particles are fixed to an x axis: particle 1 of charge -3.14 × 10-7 C is at the origin and particle 2 of charge +3.14 × 10-7 C is at x2 = 15.1 cm. Midway between the particles, what is the magnitude of the net electric field?

Between the two charges, the fields due to each charge point to the left, and so the magnitude of the field at the midpoint is
E = k*(q1 + q2) / (d/2)²
E = 8.99e9N·m²/C² * (3.14e-7C + 3.14e-7C) / (½*0.151m)²
E = 9.90e5 N/C
