I recommend just buying the goggle and snow wear and not actually buying ski equipment just renting it from the place you ski (they would provide the boots, skis, helmet, and the pokey things) and only buying your own after you know you will continue to ski. Also about skiing attire, as a first time skier you should go to casual skier friendly parks (there will still be plenty of thrills and slopes you won’t be able to do) and in these type of parks you’ll look like a **** if you wear the expensive trendy matching ski wear so I just recommend if you live somewhere cold use what you can that you already own, if you don’t buy what’s affordable
