No. The #1 priority is the safety of PEOPLE, like that guests in the WDW resorts, like the WDW employees. It takes time to SAFELY prepare WDW for the possibility of a major storm and the employees need time to prepare their own homes and families. Even if WDW had some crazy idea that it wanted to keep operating the theme parks "right up until the last minute," they couldn't. Too many employees wouldn't show up for work, choosing instead to do what is needed to keep themselves, their family, their homes safe. "I'd rather lose my job than lose my house" is how we Floridians regard employers who don't allow us time for safety preparations in the face of possible hurricane.
