Can I catch mice in a snap trap without putting bait in it?

Update:

Can I catch mice in a snap trap without putting bait in it? I can use peanut butter but don't want to have to change it all the time. I can also use dry dog food but have no luck with it.

Sure it's possible but use a little peanut butter and you're sure to get a kill.

NO AS THE TRAP WILL STINK OF HUMANS!

    Bait covers up the scent!

Use .003 cents worth of peanut butter in a clothespin style trap for a high success rate. You don't want those little buggers breeding.

well if you put The mousetrap along the edges of the wall where mouse is like to travel one might accidentally wander through the trap and get caught but you will have a lot better luck if you put a little piece of bread with a little bit of peanut butter on it forget the cheese mice go for bread with peanut butter on it they can't resist it

It's harder. Sticky traps are better, but many people consider them inhumane.
