I alway preferred Jet Li over Bruce Lee. His movies carry more of a historical storyline, like Fearless and Hero. In Fearless, Li played Huo Yuanjia, a Huo Wushu master who was the undefeated champion of Tianjin. He defeated the toughest the British had to offer, beating O'Brien in the Shanghai Club and even fighting a in 4-vs-1 contest. Li gave his opponents some offense; he didn't just beat them lopsidedly like Lee did in his movies. Most of Lee's films, with the notable exception of his fight against Chuck Norris, were one-sided fights with Lee beating his opponents easily.
