EDIT: Oxidation, in this case Is Burning, Just like a lump of coal but a quick flash. Product is Still CO2. I have Seen industrial diamonds burn up--quick f;lash.Try using them without a coolant..(Oxidation, say , of an acid to Zn is not, technically. burning, no.)
