Will the post office pack my package for me?

I want to ship my first package by visiting the my local post office. But I'm not sure if I can take just the unpackaged item so that they'll package it for me with all the necessary materials?

They can supply the materials, but you will have to do the work of packing whatever you want to send.

NO. However, go to a UPS store and they will do this for you.

If they are helpful they will do it for you or certainly help.

If they are not helpful they will sell you the box/ tape and materials you need.

Try the UPS store. They do all that stuff for you...for a fee of course

No, I don't think so. Customers have to pack their own stuff.

Take it to UPS or Fedex. They will pack it for you.

If you want someone to pack it for you, go to a UPS store. They'll do it---and charge you a gazillion dollars.

That's not part of the job description. You're supposed to package it up yourself, and they just take the package and charge you for postage.

No because if there is any damage you will promptly try to blame them for packing it wrong.
