    There won't ever be cities on Mars or any other planet besides Earth. Terraforming is a pipedream at the moment. But just to be sociable, I'll play along. How about: Aries? Mars is the Roman name of the Greek god Aries, so it'll keep in theme.

    If such base comes to pass, it will only be a temporary habitat for research. Perhaps 'Hab-1'.

    The notion of colonizing is not even considered for the vast expense of even building a long term Hab.
