Will Tropical Storm Dorian interfere with NEW YORK?

I’m going to a sport event on September 6th and i feel uneasy that the match might be cancelled or postponed. I also plan on exploring NYC that day.

What is the possibility as far as it can be told at the moment?

current USWB forecast puts it way out to sea when it gets that far north, and downgraded to a mere rain storm

There's less of a chance that the storm will hit a city that's so far north, because the ocean is cooler there.

Doubt it. It's going to track further south and lose strength after it hits the Dominican Republic.

The probability of serious weather in New York City from Dorian is less than 1%.
