It depends on whether there are any witness's.
During a recent bank robbery the armed offenders face mask slipped off exposing his face.
The robber, after readjusting his disguise to conceal his face panicked by the thought of being identified & asked one of the customers if he'd seen his face & asked him "Did you see my face?"
"Yes,replied the man" "Boom!" the robber shot him.
Then he asked a woman "Did you see my face?"
She replied "No,but my husband over there did"

All banks have security cameras, even in the parking lots. And the serial numbers of the cash in the drawers is noted. Most of the money in a bank is held in a secure vault and only about 50k is cash on hand.
This means a typical car thief makes more money than a bank robber.
