King Zedekiah (House of David) last king of Judah?
Why yes, I do know what happened to him. He was captured and taken prisoner by King Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon. After Babylon laid siege to Jerusalem, King Zedekiah and his followers attempted to escape, but he was captured on the plains of Jericho. Jerusalem was then plundered, burned to the ground, and Solomon's Temple was destroyed. He then remained a prisoner in Babylon until his death in 587 or 586 BC.
Whether the President knows this specific incident in ancient history is anybody's guess. Don't know why it would matter if he knew this or not though.
Do you know what happened to the last king of Babylon? Assyria? or the last Egyptian Pharaoh? In other words, why does it matter? What does ancient Jewish history have to do with now, and why does it matter if the president knows this specific incident in history or not, versus other historical events?
