unzip first. right-click zip file and unzip.

then run file in itxs extracted location. for installers, you need to right click the extracted installer file and run as Admin.

unzip the file to a folder - then run the setup program in the folder

(you ran "setup" from the zipped folder- doing this sometimes "upsets" the setup program

    Clicked on the setup?

The first thing to do with a downloaded zip file is to use your anti-virus to scan it. If it's clean, simply unzip to an empty folder. You decide which folder. You can create the folder right there in the unzip dialog.

Now, if your anti-virus says it's infected, delete at once and empty your trash bin.

Perhaps you didn't really run setup so much as you ran a self extracting Zip file. Run the file again, only this time note where it wants to save files. Cancel the unzip before it runs and then browse to the folder. Find Setup there.
