are black barbers racists for not wanting to cut a white mans hair?

Update:

a white man went into a prodominately black barber shop and they said they cant cut his hair because the hair type between white and black is different and they are not used to cuttin a white guys hair

in this instance, it's not racist because it's not about the person's race, it's about their hair type. black hair is very different from other types of hair and it takes a particular skill set to know how to cut and style it. a person who specializes in black hair and has black hair themselves wouldn't necessarily have the skills to cut and style other hair types

If a white barber said that, there'd be hell to pay.

Black folk tend to have different hair texture than white folk, it could be different to work with. They may not want to mess the guy's hair up

The hair IS different, although a good barber should know how to cut either. The next question is, would you want to get your hair cut there after being told that they "can't" cut your hair?

What white man did they tell that they wouldn’t cut his hair? Did a white man go in for a haircut and was turned away?
