    A conditional discharge is an order made by a criminal court whereby an offender will not be sentenced for an offense unless a further offense is committed within a stated period.

    A person who is convicted (whether sentenced or not) of a High Misdemeanor or Felony may not Own, Possess, Carry, Borrow a Firearm without a special dispensation, which applies only to hunting shotguns/rifles, from the BATF-E.
